Two years ago, I started this series. (Well, starting now it is a series!) Things you are thankful for about yourself. Not your inside, your outside.
Ladies, we are incredibly hard on ourselves. You can’t tell me when you look in the mirror you don’t say something negative. There are so many negative things, that today, I want you to be positive! Find 5 things you like about yourself, especially your appearance! You can leave your answers in the comments or link up below. Read mine, others, and your own and see how positive thoughts about yourself are so good for you!
As I grow it out to a long length and also grow out my natural hair color, it is getting shinier and healthier. Whether it is curled or straightened, I’m finding it is one of my best assets!
With belted dresses, high waisted skirts, or fitted shirts, I’m finding that my waist is the skinniest part of me. Duh, right? When I cinch clothes in at my waist, I can see my curves and it’s been nice to discover I have curves. Small or big as they might be, I like that my body seems in enough proportion with my height.

They are nicely shaped, the right thickness and grow fast. I’m able to paint and repaint without much damage. Plus, they look really good painted or unpainted.
I can wear anything from a girl’s size 4 to a women’s size 6. (Sometimes backfires, most designer sizes start at 6). Also, usually smaller sizes aren’t the first to sell out. I’m able to find the shoes I like even in the most popular styles.
I was the little girl that longed for baby blues. LONGED! I even tried turquoise contacts. (They don’t work, I couldn’t see out of them! It defeated the purpose!) As I’ve gotten older (the wise ole’ age of 25<–this is sarcasm.), I love my brown eyes. And since the application of winged eyeliner, I think they are emphasized more and it just makes me look prettier. Such a small move has made me love them and myself more.
There you have it. Five things I love about myself. What do you love about yourself? Leave your comment or link below! I hope you have thankful thougths about yourself today and a very…

Last week got away from me, and left little time for posting. SO sorry guys! And now,I should be writing an awesome post about what to wear for Thanksgiving. But instead, I’m skipping out and going to see Breaking Dawn for the second time. (I’m a sucker for these movies)! C’est La Vie!
So refer back these posts for some great ideas about what to wear for turkey day! All the rules still apply!
I’ll be back later this week for some fun stuff!

Happy Thanksgiving, loves! Time to name things we are thankful for. Last year, It was about body image. This year its not gonna be so deep. Here are 3 things I’m thankful for about fashion/style/my closet. Lame, but I’ve been obsessing for 3 days over what I’m wearing on turkey day.
1. I’m thankful comfy is cute. I heart leggings and oversize tops. This equals the perfect fall/winter ensemble. At my work, girls come in all the time wearing this and look adorable. While it depends on the width of the top, it might not look good on my shape but overall its a pretty flattering look on everyone.
2. I’m thankful for other fashion blogs, especially Outfit of the Day bloggers! Miss Vinyl Ahoy, Kendi Everyday, and my all time/check everyday Love Maegan give me tons of inspiration.
3. I’m thankful for my collecton of shoes. I <3 every single pair I have! I have a lot of heels that I wish I could wear on more occasions but I LOVE them. I can’t wait to wear them all with tights when it gets colder here! Curse you 80 degree weather on NOVEMBER 24th. Not a happy camper today. Anyway, I hope to add a few more boots this Xmas.
What are you thankful for this year?
Thanksgiving is upon us! Family, Friends, Food, Clothes? What does one wear for a meal with family, or more than one meal with different families? Here’s your quick style guide for Thanksgiving dressing! (haha, so punny!)
Remember a few key things:
A) You’re going to be eating alot! Keep clothes a little looser fitting. You’ll get super uncomfortable when that stomach expands from food consumption. No skin tight garments!
B) You might be seeing family you haven’t seen since last year, or since forever ago. Don’t send grandma into cardiac arrest with all that bare skin. Wear a cami under that lowcut sweater or tights/leggings under that cute new mini! Cover your parts, the only naked thing people wanna see is a turkey.
C) You might be standing more than you think! Whether mom invited more guests than she thought or 90 yr old Aunt Ruby needs the chair, or you’ve been commanded to help out in the kitchen, comfortable shoes will be your friend. The spiky stilettos or thigh-high boots just won’t work for this occasion. And no one wants to have to see you take of your shoes. Cute flats or flat boots are where its at!
A few options
1) Oversize sweater belted low with leggings and flats
2) Dark wash denim jeans with embellished blouse or sweater
3) Jersey dress with dark tights and flat boots
All of that being said, I still have no clue what I’m gonna wear! But you better believe it will be comfy and cute!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Hope its a blessed one!
