Last weekend was the Kentucky Derby! Get out the flowers, hats, and dresses because here comes southern charm and frill! I have absolutely NO interest in horses, races, and the like. But it sure is fun to look at the celebrities on the red carpet. I really only found a handful who I thought looked great or took a risk, here they are!
BEST OUTFITS:
Ashlee Simpson with hubby Pete Wentz
I’m on a huge vintage kick! (my wedding dress was very (1920’s) vintage looking! Post coming as soon as I get my professional pictures back!) So when I saw this picture of Ashlee Simpson I squealed! I love that they chose to look like they stepped out of Seabiscuit! The hat, the polka dots, the purse! Oooh, love love love!
ODDEST COUPLE:
Rebecca Romign & Jerry O’Connell
I Love Rebecca’s hat and I think Jerry’s suit is pretty sharp. But between her frumpy pillow case dress and his greasy curly q hair, it just isn’t working.

Salt & Pepa
The ladies of “Salt and Pepa” stepped out of the derby box and went with animal print. They both pulled it off! They used their flawlessly matching hats as the perfect accessory!
FINEST HAT:
Johnny Weir
Most of the time the women stick to outlandish hats, but male figure skater Johnny Weir bucked tradition. He donned a black and white trimmed hat that was the fiercest of them all! Go Johnny, work it!
