Its a new Nail File!
This week it’s Essie’s Lollipop with a shiny top coat of Essie’s 3 Way Glaze. It was a little bit of a rush job but you can’t be good old fashioned red nails! I’m loving it as a transition to fall. I haven’t worn red in SO LONG! I feel vixenish with red nails!
I change my nails a lot! A LOT! So this means its time for another NAIL FILE! This week I was inspired by this post from Cupcakes & Cashmere. I fell in love with her glitter nails but wanted to try a more subtle version. Here’s what I ended up with:
I painted on one coat of Essie in Rock Candy. Then, painted the tips with the pink glittery polish Pure Ice in Spitfire. The glitter polish was thick so I filled in the darker part of the nail with another coat of the Essie in Rock Candy. I layered on the Sally Hansen Insta Dri Top Coat until it was smooth across the whole nail! I love the subtle pretty look of the manicure and the glitter was only really noticeable in the sun! It would be classy enough for an office job but still fun with the glitter!
P.S. I also did some pretty pedicure work! I used Sephora Chic Prints in an discontinued pattern on my big toes then painted the remaining toes in a matching colors. My toes feel FANCY!
Every time I give myself a diy pedi, I pick the same color. It is just inevitable. Pink Parka by Essie is my go to summer toe color! Its bright neon pink and screams summer!
While neon pink is one of my favorite colors, I can’t wear it everyday on my clothes. SO what better way than my toes!!
I get mutliple compliments on it and it makes me smile!

Salon visits get expensive! And lately, who has time and money to sit down and get their nails done! I’m all about diy manicures/pedicures.
Especiall when it comes to fun colors!!
Pale green is one of the hottest colors of the season! Chanel made it so when the models sported Jade nails in their Fall 2009 runway show. Chanel sold in on their website and it quickly sold out!
Seriously, search Chanel Jade Polish and 153k results come up, all with tags like”JADE IS IN! BUZZ AROUND NEW CHANEL SHADE” and many more!
